Allison Stokke and Alyce Caron

Allison Stokke has been a pole vaulter for over 20 years. She was born on the 22nd March 1989, in Newport Beach California. The photo she posted of herself competing in a track meet for teenagers was a hit in 2007 and made her an Olympic pole vaulter. Instagram and Twitter are her two most viewed social media sites. Stokke is a well-known track and fields athlete, as is Jessica Ennis Hill. Los Angeles Times noted, amongst others the fact that Stokke was not seeking or endorsing such attention. The authors of their work Technology Power and Culture in the Network Society Brett Hutchins and David Rowe linked Stokke's case with that of American soccer players Alex Morgan and Hope Solo women athletes who were idolized and were seen as having their images being framed in a manner that, as the authors stated, devalued their achievements in sports. Photos of Stokke, competing during New York early 2007, were published on the internet by an Californian journalist who was working for a track and fields website. In May the image was then posted in the form of With Leather a sports blog that has a huge male audience remarking on the attractiveness of seventeen-year-old Stokke with the caption Pole Vaulting is Sexy Barely legal. Matt Ufford threatened to file lawsuit against the photographer should the photo not be taken down. The article and images had gained a great deal of media attention. Stokke quickly gained a following after a dedicated website was built with pictures of Stokke performing her skills at his pole vault. Images were then shared via social media to thousands of internet fans. Alyce Caron..............Alyce Caron was born in Houston in the United States in February 1957. Caron wanted her high school graduation to be held in Florida. She graduated in 1974. her high school graduation, but took a different approach by doing an internship. Alyce was proudly raised by a professor's sister. Her sister works as college professor, and her family supports her. Alyce resides in Texas along with her parents whom both work for the U.S. Army. Three years ago they were celebrating their father's 92nd birthday. Alyce took to social media to post a beautiful picture of her daughter, and to pay tribute to the sacrifice her father's contribution in the U.S. Army. She also encourages her daughter to concentrate on schooling. Her daughter has achieved the National Merit Scholarship from the University and is set to celebrate her 22nd birthday in 2022.
