Dua Lipa is an English musician and singer born on August 22, 1995 from London United Kingdom. After working as a fashion model, she decided to join Warner Bros Records and release her debut album "Dua Lipa" in 2017. It climbed to the third spot in the U.K. Chart for Albums. The album released eight singles, among them Be The Only I.D.G.A.F. as well as New Rules (UK number one). It also peaked at number 6 on the charts in the United States. Lipa received the Brit Awards in 2018 as a British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act and her album has been certified as platinum in several countries worldwide. Dua Lipa was born by London in the UK by Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin lilipa (father). By virtue of her maternal grandmother, she has Bosnian origin. It is also possible to find her family's roots in Peja, the Kosovo town of Peja. The grandparents of Lipa were both historians. Her siblings include Rina and Gjin. Her musical inspirations come from her father who was the guitarist and singer of the Kosovan Rock band Oda.
